More than a residence, this home is a personal atlas. Created for a family with a profound love for travel, every room has become a repository of memories collected across continents. Objects acquired in Africa, references from the Middle East, Indian influences, European classical details and contemporary design coexist in a language that feels both eclectic and remarkably harmonious. Rather than adhering to a singular aesthetic, the house reflects the stories and experiences of those who inhabit it.
The narrative begins at the entrance, where a striking green front door introduces the character of the home. Flanked by two sculptures resting on wooden pedestals, the arrival sets the tone for a house where art acts as a recurring thread. Neutral walls provide a calm backdrop, allowing each collected object and carefully curated piece to take center stage.
Arched openings and classical moldings define the circulation, transforming movement throughout the house into a sequence of experiences. The corridors possess an understated elegance, creating transitions that feel almost ceremonial—as though each room represents a different destination along a journey through cultures and memories.
A more formal living room introduces color and geometry through a large artwork that anchors the space. A stool crafted from Angora goat hair, acquired during a journey through Africa, sits atop a richly colored rug, reinforcing the family's tradition of integrating meaningful objects collected abroad. Marble surfaces, sculptural furniture and carefully layered textures create a composition that feels curated yet deeply personal. Filtered daylight entering through soft drapery gives the room an atmosphere of serenity and freshness.
The bar area becomes a subtle attraction. Contemporary detailing, warm light oak finishes, a sculptural marble island and cognac leather stools create an atmosphere that feels intimate and inviting. Shelves illuminated with concealed lighting display books and collected objects, while indirect lighting softly accentuates the textures and materials. Nearby, a gray sofa and a striking red marble side table offer memorable moments that quietly celebrate the home's appreciation for detail.
The garden emerges as one of the home's defining elements. Beneath mature trees and surrounded by lush vegetation, outdoor seating areas invite moments of pause and reflection. Natural stone, layered greenery and multiple points of connection with the interior establish a seamless dialogue between architecture and landscape, making nature an integral part of everyday life.
