DECEMBER 2023

Last year we celebrated our Christmas cocktail party held in Casa Jarana, Colonia Roma.  Received by giant nutcrakers and a red carpet, decorated with Christmas foliage, chandeliers, the martini-cup tower, floating candles and hanging disco balls. Amidst this cool setting, the Cuaik CDS team came together to commemorate a year brimming with new projects and exciting adventures.

On this edition of AMP 2023 Cuaik | CDS was selected as “Winner” in the Multidisciplinary Firm Category, The Village Lobby was selected as “Best of Best” in the Other Interior Design Category and 9° was selected as “Winner” in the Apartment Interior Design Category.

Architectural Digest’s awards program “Íconos del Diseño” selected Lampuga as finalist in the Restaurant Interior Category and CDG in the Residential Interior Category.The awards ceremony took place in José Luis Cuevas museum in Dowtown Mexico City.

This year Alejandro Azcué, Cuarit’s Managing Director, celebrated 10 years working on the firm. We commemorated his commitment to Cuaik | CDS with a cowboy party near Mexico City.

Since last year we have been developing the redesign of 5 spaces within the Rosewood Hotel in San Miguel de Allende. Pirules is an outdoor restaurant that follows the Garden Kitchen concept.

We take on new ventures with an upscale, stylish Italian restaurant that has landed at Westfield UTC.
“After years of deliberating on the idea of opening a restaurant in La Jolla, we stumbled upon the iconic Westfield UTC Mall. We knew immediately that this was the place to bring Lucrezia to life. We have loved this city for years, and we are happy to call it home. We’re so fond of this town.” - GH for Eater San Diego.

 At Cuaik | CDS, we aspire to enrich the professional journeys of our diverse team through curated cultural excursions and team-building activities.
During our recent venture, we explored "El Nido de Quetzalcóatl", a visionary park situated north of Mexico City, masterfully crafted by the esteemed Mexican architect, Javier Senosiain. This outing aimed to stimulate creativity within our design processes, evident in the realization of organic forms and the application of vernacular construction methods.
